Shilajit Extreme Review: Does This Testosterone Formula Live Up To The Label?
We pulled the full supplement facts panel and checked every dose against the studies the seller cites. Premium ingredients — but two of them are dosed below the research.

Best for men over 30 who want a fully disclosed, patented-ingredient formula rather than a mystery blend — and who are willing to accept that two of the seven actives sit below the doses used in the research.
- Full label, no proprietary blend
- PrimaVie®, Saffr’Activ®, SeLECT®
- Made in the EU, doping-free
- Two actives under-dosed vs studies
Why Men Lose Their Edge After 30
From your early 30s, testosterone drifts down gradually — commonly cited at around 1% a year. It rarely announces itself; it shows up as lower energy, softer motivation, slower recovery from the gym, and a general sense that the drive you used to take for granted is not there. Add modern stress and poor sleep and the slide speeds up. We go through the pattern in the signs of low testosterone.
Shilajit Extreme is a seven-ingredient men’s formula built around PrimaVie®, a patented purified Himalayan shilajit extract, plus D-aspartic acid, rhodiola, saffron, zinc, vitamin B6 and selenium. If shilajit itself is new to you, start with what shilajit actually is.
The Full Supplement Facts Panel
This is the complete label as published by the manufacturer, per 2-capsule serving. Nothing is hidden behind a proprietary blend — which is the single best thing about this product.

Two Doses That Do Not Match The Research
This is the part most reviews skip. The ingredients here are real and patented, but two of them are dosed well below what the studies behind the marketing actually used.
The testosterone figures quoted on the official site (+20.45% total, +19.14% free) come from a 2016 clinical trial that gave men 250 mg twice a day — 500 mg daily — for 90 days. Shilajit Extreme provides 200 mg a day, under half that. The ingredient is the right one and the patented form is the one that was studied, but you should not expect the study’s numbers from 40% of the study’s dose. We break the trial down in shilajit and testosterone.
DAA is the largest single ingredient in the formula, but the human trials that made it popular used roughly 2.6–3 g per day. At 400 mg this is a token amount by comparison. DAA’s evidence is mixed even at full dose — several studies in trained men found no benefit — so we would not weight it heavily either way.
Two ingredients are dosed sensibly: saffron at 30 mg is right in the range used in mood and libido trials, and the micronutrients (zinc 15 mg, B6 6 mg, selenium 55 mcg) sit at or just above daily reference intakes, which is where you want them for a daily supplement rather than a megadose. Rhodiola at 100 mg is on the low side; adaptogen trials commonly use 200–600 mg.
One thing worth knowing about the claims. Read the footnotes on the official page and you will see the permitted health claims are attributed to specific nutrients, not to shilajit: maintaining normal testosterone is credited to the zinc, stress resistance to the rhodiola, reduced fatigue to the vitamin B6, and fertility to the selenium. That is standard regulatory practice in the EU, and it is a more honest structure than most US supplement marketing — but it does mean the headline testosterone claim is legally carried by a 15 mg zinc dose you could buy for a few dollars.
What Men Take It For
Testosterone Support
Shilajit and zinc both have research behind supporting healthy testosterone in men.
Energy & Stamina
Fulvic acid and dibenzo-alpha-pyrones support mitochondrial ATP production.
Strength & Recovery
Popular with active men; the formula is declared doping-free and athlete-safe.
Stress & Mood
Rhodiola and saffron are the adaptogenic half of the formula.
Antioxidant Defence
Selenium and fulvic acid support antioxidant protection at cell level.
Fertility Markers
Selenium supports normal spermatogenesis; shilajit has sperm-quality research.
These are supportive effects on normal physiology. Shilajit Extreme is not a treatment for clinically low testosterone or for infertility — both need a doctor and a blood test.
How The Formula Is Meant To Fit Together
Fulvic acid and DBPs feed the mitochondria
PrimaVie® is standardised for fulvic acids and dibenzo-alpha-pyrones, the compounds tied to ATP production. More on the chemistry in our fulvic acid guide.
Micronutrients cover the hormone cofactors
Zinc, selenium and B6 are the nutrients healthy testosterone production and sperm quality actually depend on — unglamorous, but the part with the firmest evidence.
Adaptogens take pressure off cortisol
Rhodiola and saffron target the stress side of the equation, which matters because chronic stress suppresses testosterone. Results build over weeks, not days.

👍 What we liked
- Complete supplement facts panel — every dose disclosed, no proprietary blend
- Patented, actually-studied ingredient forms: PrimaVie®, Saffr’Activ®, SeLECT® selenium
- Saffron and the micronutrients are dosed in line with the research
- Made in the EU and declared doping-free, which matters if you compete

👎 Worth knowing
- PrimaVie® is dosed at 200 mg vs the 500 mg daily used in the trial the marketing quotes
- D-aspartic acid at 400 mg is far below the ~3 g used in DAA research
- Rhodiola at 100 mg is on the low side for an adaptogen dose
- No money-back guarantee published on the official site
- Sold only through the official store — not on Amazon or in shops
- It is a tonic, not a switch: judge it at two to three months, not two weeks

Shilajit Extreme FAQ
Does Shilajit Extreme really raise testosterone?
The shilajit extract it uses, PrimaVie®, is the same form tested in a 2016 placebo-controlled trial that found a 20.45% rise in total testosterone over 90 days. The catch is dose: that trial used 500 mg a day and this product provides 200 mg. Zinc, which the label’s testosterone claim is legally attributed to, is dosed properly at 15 mg. Expect a modest, gradual effect rather than the headline percentage.
What exactly is in it?
Per 2-capsule serving: D-aspartic acid 400 mg, PrimaVie® purified shilajit 200 mg, rhodiola rosea 100 mg, Saffr’Activ® saffron 30 mg, zinc 15 mg, vitamin B6 6 mg and selenium 55 mcg, in a plant-based capsule. The full panel is in the table above.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Not one that we could find. The official sales page does not publish a satisfaction or money-back guarantee. The Terms of Use describe a statutory withdrawal right with conditions — written notice, goods unused and repackaged. Check the current refund terms at checkout before ordering.
Are there any side effects?
Purified shilajit is generally well tolerated, and the micronutrient doses here are modest. The main safety concern with shilajit in general is unpurified raw resin, which can carry heavy metals — a patented, standardised extract like PrimaVie® is specifically meant to avoid that. Talk to your doctor first if you take medication, especially anything affecting hormones, thyroid or mood, since saffron and rhodiola can interact with antidepressants.
How long before I notice anything?
The shilajit research runs 8 to 12 weeks. Treat the first month as a loading period and judge it at the two to three month mark.
Where is the cheapest place to buy it?
It is sold exclusively through the official store, where multi-bottle bundles unlock the special price and the site advertises up to 20% off. Check the current offer here.
The Bottom Line on Shilajit Extreme
This is a better-built product than most of the men’s category: a fully disclosed label, patented ingredient forms, EU manufacturing and honest source citations. What stops it short of a top score is dosing — the two headline actives sit below the research they are sold on — and the absence of any published refund guarantee. Worth trying if you value transparency and are realistic about the effect size.
